Trying To Be Happy All The Time Is Keeping You Stuck
Trying to be happy all the time is actually keeping you stuck and pushing away what you want.
And I know everybody's like, “Oh, choose happiness! Be happy all the time! This is how you're going to manifest.”
Don't get me wrong. I love happiness. Happiness is wonderful. It is a wonderful vibration.
But the thing is, if you're like most women, you've tied happiness to things and accomplishments.
If you get the car, yeah, you're happy. If you don't get the car, you’re not happy.
If you get the relationship or things work out how you want them to, yay, it's happiness. Five minutes later, something doesn't work out, and now you're grumpy, angry, sad, feeling shameful, or some other negative emotion. You’re on a happiness roller coaster.
This is because by chasing happiness, you’re really chasing external things. And what is going to happen by you chasing external things? Well, the energy of chasing is actually the frequency of lack. Lack is very low frequency.
And a low frequency won’t call in all of the good stuff that you want. It's keeping you stuck.
Yes, you can choose happiness. You can simply choose in each moment to be happy. And this is wonderful.
However, most women find it hard to make that leap right away. So what is a step you can take right now to move toward happiness without chasing happiness?
Choose peace.
In the moment, choose peace.
That doesn't mean you have to like where you're at right now. Choosing peace in the moment just means you accept, acknowledge, are aware, and say, “I'm where I am right now. Okay, I see it. I accept that I am just where I am right now.”
Choosing peace in each moment doesn't mean you can't change your circumstances. It doesn't mean you can't still create, expand, and shift things for yourself. Being peaceful in each moment simply means, you see and accept where you’re at right now and choose to feel peaceful about it. That is all. No other meanings. Not if it is good or bad. Not whether you like where you’re at or not. Just acceptance and acknowledgement.
And this peace will then start to create happiness for you. Naturally, automatically, no chasing.
