Self-Love is Not What You Think It Is
Self-care is such a trendy topic, right? You've been taught that it’s important to care for yourself and do more self-care because this is how you love yourself and treat yourself right. Well, our society has taught you, and me, too, that self-care equals self-love.
NEWS FLASH - self-care does not equal self-love.
Self-care is just doing.
Now consider this for a moment…
You go to the bathroom, you feed yourself, you wash your face, you take a shower, you brush your teeth, you put on clothes in the morning. That's all self-care. But does it even mean that you like yourself?
Just like me, I'm sure you can think of a ton of women that work out, go to the spa, do all the things, read the books, eat right, buy themselves flowers…and they don't even like themselves, right? They can do all these self-care things, and yet, they don't even like, let alone love themselves.
That's because society has taught you, and all of us, that you can DO your way to everything.
That you can DO your way into a life you love. That you can DO your way into self-love. That you can just do more and then that means you're loving yourself. And that is all backwards.
Love is not a DOing.
Love is a BEing. Love is mental. Love is frequency.
Love is what you already are.
So to love yourself, you actually don't have to do anything because you already are love. The Universe is love. You are a creation of the Universe, so therefore, you are already love.
Your Goddess self, who you authentically are, is already love.
So there's NOTHING for you to do other than to say, “I accept me, my Goddess self, just as I am, and therefore, I am love, and I love myself.”
And if you’re feeling called to love yourself more deeply, to feel more authentically you than ever, and to live a life you love from that place of authenticity then you’ll want to join me in my NEW program, “The Modern Goddess’ Guide to Thriving in Humanity” when the doors open this month. Click here to get on the priority list!
But I’ll leave you with this for now…
Love is not a doing; love is mental, and love is frequency.
And self-love is just being who you are.
So think on that, and let me know what you think.
